On this Hide camp mini workshop you will be given the basic knowledge and skills to naturally tan animal hides with hair on. You will be working on your own individual hide and by the end of the course, leave with a finished beautiful soft, leather sheepskin and the experience to take the skills learned into other areas of tanning various hides, including small mammals like rabbit, fox, hare and fish.
Somewhere in our not too distant ancestry we were ALL born of a tribe.
This tribe of people loved the Earth and worked alongside her. They nurtured her, sacrificed their blood over her. Worshipped and protected her. Through time and history these tribes, our ancestors became infected, by a new, more disturbing and disconnected world and way of living. If you find in your life you still hold glimpse’s of this original tribe and life. Hold onto them fiercely, the old ways, the pure and gentle ways so that every generation to come will be offered the chance of restoration for our world. If they are lost, we are also lost.
