Traveling to Uvita
Ways to Arrive
-
International arrivals to Costa Rica will come through San Jose International Airport (SJO).
We recommend you give yourself a couple extra days in the country before and after Origins to integrate from your travels and take a pause after the magic of gathering.
You’ll want to make sure you get in the night before our first day together at Origins, or very early in the morning on the first day of the gathering. The earliest you should book a flight leaving Costa is in the evening/night of the last day of our week together.
Make sure your passport has at least 6 months left before it expires upon entering the country.
Make sure you have your return flight booked before you enter Costa Rica otherwise they won’t let you in.

A quick and simple to way to get closer to our land venue is taking a hopper plane from SJO to Quepos. Sansa Airlines and Costa Rica Green Airways offers multiple flights a day to Quepos/Manuel Antonio Airport, a small domestic airport about 45min away from our homeland. From there you can take a taxi or arrange a shuttle through us.
Flights cost approx. $110 each way.
There are luggage weight restrictions on these smaller planes, please be aware the maximum baggage weight is usually 30lbs per bag.
-
We will be offering shuttles to/from the SJO, Quepos, and Uvita.
Our New Moon Gathering shuttles will be arriving to the gathering on February 4th (early arrival) & 5th and leaving the gathering on February 11th.
Our Full Moon Gathering shuttles will be arriving to the gathering on February 15th (early arrival) & 16th and leaving the gathering on February 22nd.

The road to the land is paved and beautifully smooth, you won’t need 4x4 to arrive to our parking lot, but you will to our campgrounds.
Please only drive your own car to us if you’re local/live in Costa Rica…it seems like a waste of money for a car rental to just sit at Origins for a week.
Unless you rent one of the camping vehicles and stay in that during the gathering, please email us so we can arrange for car camping spaces for you. Nomad America is a local car rental place that has 4x4 options with rad camping equipment. (please let them know Origins Gathering referred you)
4x4 is required for car camping.
