“ORIGINS GATHERING: SACRED STEWARDSHIP APPLICATION (aka Volunteer Work-Trade/Energy Exchange)
Being a Sacred Steward on ancestral land, truly takes an intentional village to make this healing inclusive event happen and we couldn't do it without YOU, so your commitment, expertise and Service is invaluable!
We value and honor YOU, this energy exchange of being in Sacred Stewardship will require 25 hours of your time and sweat equity... in essence You are the Backbone of OG!
Your 25 hours for the OG duration will enable you to receive a reduced priced ticket of $222, general camping* and 2 organic meals per day included.
Areas of Sacred Service

This is for the New Moon Session only! We ask that you only apply for set-up if you have flexibility in your schedule to arrive up to 5 days early, dates tbd.
- Must be self-sufficient, follow instructions and creatively and proactively solve problems.
- Able to lift 50 pounds, experience using power tools, who can stand on their feet for long periods of time

Arrive up to 2 days early prior to the Gathering.
-Must be friendly, adaptable, patient, technology savvy and great at problem solving on the fly.
-You are the “hostess with the mostess” … Registration Day can be looonnng, you will be repeating the same script to excited Sisters all day - we need friendly faces with patience and stamina.

As the name implies there will be MANY random tasks.
-MUST be proactive
-Provide basic maintenance of the grounds, resetting classroom spaces, cleaning showers and bathrooms, or helping production with overall Randomness… with gratitude and a smile!

Our fire tenders hold down an energetic pillar of the gathering. The fire is a sacred place for people to gather, release, pray, sing, be joyous.
-Must have experience tending the fire and Must be able to hold vision that while on duty and off…honoring the spiritual importance of this stewardship
-Have the deep responsibility of fire safety as well. Each night there will be activities around the fire and possibly in other areas of the gathering.
-Fire tenders are late night stewards that often go well until midnight to tend the fire and may miss out on some nightly activities although we try to give preference to what you are most looking forward to attending.

The Kids' Village is the space where our smallest, fastest growing, and probably fastest moving attendees of the gathering will be grouping, socializing, and receiving their very own workshops. Those chosen to steward the Kids' Village will also support the Mama's Den and Nursing Nest by tidying and replenishing.
-Must have previous experience with children ages 5 and up, as children in this age range will be dropped off while their mama/caregiver engages in other areas of the gathering. This can be a tender experience for both the adult and child; it is a MUST to be comfortable with holding space for the possibility of tears and fears.
-Have a deep understanding and living practice of compassionate, harmonious, and inclusive speech.
-Preference will go to those that have the impulse to express and share their passions with the children: singing, crafting, mindful movement or games, dancing, etc. (not limited to these offerings).
-Preference will go to those with current FIrst Aid/CPR certifications.

The art and heart of nourishment is our most FUN and labor intensive stewardship, therefore there is a reduced energy exchange commitment (20 hours).
-Preference will go to those who can steward both Gatherings.
-Experience in kitchen is preferred.
-Preparation of three meals a day with an established chef will lead you in the planned meals planned
-Must be able to stand on your feet for 5 hours at a time and lift up to 50 pounds.
-If you are not comfortable handling animal products (mainly eggs, cheese, fish) this may not be the best fit for you. You will also be required to wear close-toed shoes, and a full set of clothing during your shift!

Our spa has a diverse line up of healers offering their magic modalities
-New Moon Spa Stewards will help with set-up and general curation of the space before the gathering and -Full Moon Stewards will Break it down.
-Provide general maintenance cleanliness of the Spa, assist in scheduling appointments, laundry, ensure supplies are stocked and support practitioners with their offerings.
-A friendly demeanor is essential, spa experience is preferred but not required.

Calling all babes who love digging in the dirt! Our compost crew is the sh*t…such a critically important facet of the gathering. We strive to be as low waste as possible, protecting and restoring these beautiful lands we have been invited to share. ALL food scraps from meals will go back into the Earth and turned into luscious soil for us to use in years to come.
-This Stewardship requires strong and able bodies who can lift heavy buckets, shovel and move food scraps and Earth.
-New Moon folks may be asked to arrive a few days early to get the pile set-up and we would love a few people who can either stay after New Moon for the in between days or some people who can do both sessions!

This is for Full Moon only!
-Must be available to stay up to three days after full moon ends. You will be dismantling structures, gathering supplies, cleaning workshop areas etc.
-Preference goes to those who can use power tools. This can be a laborious couple of days and it's best suited for strong able bodies
-
Creating Sacred Altars and Offering spaces on the land is vital.
-Experience with Altar building and tending is essential.
-Must be able arrive several days before New Moon session to begin building and the remaining hours will be spent tending throughout the days.
-This is a VERY small stewardship, only need two to three Sisters are needed.

Joining together in sisterhood we share and remember earth-based skills, hold sacred space, and commune with the natural world to expand our vision of creating a spiritual and committed relationship with the earth and ourselves.
The submission deadline for the first round of applications is Oct 1st, 2023, if applications exceeds our Stewardship capacity we will close earlier. Formal responses of acceptance, waitlist holds, and non- accommodate of applications will be sent via email by Oct 31st, 2023.
