This class is for you if you want to invest in a healthier art practice for yourself, your family, and the planet. You will leave with recipes, inspiration, and resources for a more intimate and fulfilling creative journey.

Class #1: HISTORY & BEST PRACTICES- Let's begin with a brief history of pigment, and basic breakdown of types of pigments and uses. Discuss best practices for sourcing natural pigments, foraging, recording your process and even how to grow your own pigment.
Class #2: EASY RECIPES - We will make our own ready to use drawing inks and tempera paints. Appropriate for beginners and children.
Class #3: NOT AS EASY RECIPES- We will discuss various methods of making watercolor paint, using a step by step process that builds on the basics from class #2.
Class #4: MARK MAKING BASICS- Ready to paint? You’ll learn about traditional forms of mark making, materials used and find easy prompts to jump start your art.


Each class session is 45 minutes (3hrs total instruction) with full access to the instructor for one month within the time of purchase and instructional pdf for download including even more tips, notes and goodies.
Materials Kits are available for purchase or attendees can provide their own.
